Jack Sprague – No. 60 Con-way Freight Toyota Tundra Casino Arizona 150 Race Preview
Jack Sprague on Racing at Phoenix International Raceway:
“Phoenix is probably my most favorite track on the current NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series schedule. It’s where I got my first career win at in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, so it will always have a very special place in my heart. The track is like a bigger version of Concord (NC) Motorsports Park where I did a lot of late model racing early in my career. So I guess I have always been comfortable behind the wheel at Phoenix and that shows in my results there.”
Jack Sprague on his Success Under the Desert Sun:
“I have had a lot of success at Phoenix over the years – I had three wins there in the late 1990’s, and I have accumulated something like five poles there as well. So for me, I couldn't think of a track that I would rather race at right now, especially coming off our run last week in Texas where we nearly won. We had a string of bad luck earlier this year but things seem to be coming together for us right now and I expect that momentum to continue when we return to Phoenix.”
Jack Sprague to Visit Toyota’s Financial Facility:
Jack Sprague will accompany fellow Toyota driver Ted Musgrave to the Toyota Financial Services Call Center in Chandler, Arizona for a brief meet-and-greet with Toyota’s associates on Thursday, November 8th.
Jack Sprague Announces Move to KHI in 2008:
Jack Sprague announced on Friday during the pre-race ceremonies at Texas Motor Speedway that he would not return to the seat of the No. 60 Toyota Tundra next year or remain with the newly formed Wyler-Gaughan Racing team following the season’s end. Instead, Sprague signed into a multi-year agreement to drive the No. 2 truck for Kevin Harvick in 2008. “I am very happy about this opportunity that has come about at Kevin Harvick Inc.,” said Sprague. “I have known Kevin and DeLana for a long time. Kevin is a racer and he knows the importance of having good people around. The whole organization at KHI is very impressive and I look forward to having the opportunity of winning more championships while racing for KHI in 2008.”
Jack Sprague’s Striking Career in the “Valley of the Sun”:
Jack Sprague has had an impressive career at Phoenix International Raceway while racing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS). Sprague holds almost every NCTS record at the 1-mile oval, including the most wins (3), most pole positions (5), most top-five’s (9), and most top-10 finishes (12). In addition to his 14 career NCTS starts in Phoenix, Sprague has one NASCAR Nextel Cup Series start and one NASCAR Busch Series start to his credit at PIR. Sprague finished 23rd and 22nd in those events, respectively.
